One of my favorite things about Georgia summers is the Crepe Myrtl. (yeah right how ever you spell it) It is a beautiful flower that comes out about now and blooms into August. To me it typifies southern. Even the name of the flower makes me think of a southern belle on a plantation lounging around on her back veranda in her beautiful dress made out of crepe. To me they are the prettiest flower. They are beautifully scented and are wonderful to burry your nose in as long as there are no bees lurking around.
