Bless the Lord O my soul...

I was reading yesterday in Psalm 103 and I was struck with what the first two verses say.

Bless the Lord O my soul and all that is within me bless His holy name.
Bless the Lord O my soul and forget not all His benefits.

Oh that we would never forget God's blessings on our lives.


Several phrases in a song that we sang yesterday have been sticking in my head
they seem to echo my cry right now Oh God keep me close to thee let me not stray from your side.

Prone to wander Lord I feel it Prone to leave the God I love
Let thy goodness like a fetter bind my wandering heart to thee
